Lashings of Lily is a homage to the “Light Music” style. Think BBC English, think early TV broadcasts, think Enid Blyton and you’re there!
Light Music is recognisable for it’s use of rich harmonies. With lot of extended chords like 9th, 11th and 13th being used. I would like to thank Alex Ball for his Utterly Spiffing Guide to Light Music. If you fancy having a go at writing some light music check out his 4 part guide on his YouTube channel.
